lol Cheryl, I like Ab.Fab., those women crack me up.
My growing family all get-together for southern deep-fried turkey every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I like when we tell the thing we are most thankful for. Recently with the bad economy we decided to do the draw a name thing- Secret Santa. It saves money just buying one gift, and we make it something special. It's fun to find out who had your name, and kept the secret.
WHAT'S THAT FAVORITE DISH THAT YOU DON'T MAKE OFTEN, BECAUSE IT'S SO MUCH WORK?

HEY, VEE! SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ENJOY BRITISH COMEDY. I MUST SUGGEST " CLATTERFORD". IT IS A SERIES (DVD) WRITTEN BY JENNIFER SAUNDERS AND DAWN FRENCH. THEY ALSO PLAY TWO CHARACTERS IN THIS WACKY GROUP OF WOMEN LIVING IN THIS SMALL VILLAGE. SO MUCH TALENT!!! YOU ARE RIGHT. THE COST OF THE HOLIDAYS SEEMS SO MUCH WORSE EACH YEAR! WE HAVEN'T DRAWN NAMES YET, BUT SOUNDS LIKE A TERRIFIC IDEA.
MY MOST TIME CONSUMING AND FATTENING DISH IS A FABULOUS TYPE OF SCALLOPED POTATOES. IT IS MADE WITH FOUR KINDS OF CHEESE AND WHIPPING CREAM.JUST SMELLING IT ADDS 5 LBS.
HOW WOULD YOU CELEBRATE IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY? ( ONE MILLION OR MORE)

Cheryl, I am so glad you asked how one would CELEBRATE as opposed to how they would spend or invest the money, because they are 2 completely different questions!
I would celebrate by taking a long cruise (at least 30 days) and relax and THINK about what to do with the rest of my life!! I have my eye on one that goes from Sydney Australia to Los Angeles. Lots of days at sea and lots of great ports (like New Zealand & Bora Bora)! I'd probably bring a few people with me, but I'd have my own cabin for sure!! lol
FYI, I do plan on hitting the lottery one day soon (I've been playing forever). Also, I think you should know that I LOVE scalloped potatoes! Can I come to your house for the holidays? lol
What kind of work would you like to do if you could choose? What is your dream job?

YES!!! PLEASE COME FOR SCALLOPED POTATOES, ELLIE. I WILL COOK FOR YOU.THIS IS YOUR OFFICAL INVITATION! I FEEL SURE THAT YOU WILL WIN A HUGE LOTTERY. ALL THAT POSITIVE THINKING WILL SURELY MAKE YOU A WINNER!
IF I COULD REPLAN MY LIFE I WOULD CERTAINLY ENTERTAIN THE IDEA OF BECOMING AN ARCHITECT. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED HOUSE FLOOR PLANS AND REARRANGING ROOMS,WALLS,STAIRWAYS ETC. HOWEVER, I DON'T THINK MY MATH SKILLS ARE SUFFICIENT. IT IS FUN TO DREAM AND WE DO NEED MORE WOMEN IN THAT FIELD.
IT IS A BEATIFUL SUNNY DAY. YOU CAN HEAD TO THE PARK OR YOU CAN DO SOME CHORES THAT YOU HAVE PUT OFF FOR A LONG TIME. WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO DO AND WHY?

love it! delicious potatoes, & a cruise down undah. lol. I will definitely check out Clatterford. Hey ellie when you win, I'll be happy to send you my info.- lol.
At this point in my life, (had a rough last few years) I am sure that I would opt to go to the Park. like my Mom used to say- "the dishes will be there later."
Anyone told you You spend too much time on GSN? Do you ever "sneak" on?

I TOO WOULD STROLL TO THE PARK, FEELING NO GUILT WHAT SO EVER!
MY HUSBAND HAS NEVER COMPLAINED THAT I SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON THE IPAD. I WOULD PROBABLY SPEND MORE TIME ON GSN IF I PLAYED FOR OODLES, BUT I HAVE NEVER REALLY LEARNED HOW. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I GOT 2,500 OODLES (OODLE FAIRY? ) BUT I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE THEM TO YOU VEE, IF THERE WAS A WAY?
WHAT FOOD DO YOU DISLIKE SO MUCH THAT YOU WON'T HAVE IT IN THE HOUSE!

HEY VEE!!! EVEN MY HUSBAND WHO IS ESSENTIALLY A VEGETARIAN ALSO HATES OKRA!!!
WE HAVE SO MANY SCENIC PLACES TO VISIT HERE. THE OCEAN, MANY LAKES, RIVERS, AND STREAMS FOR FISHING AND WATER SPORTS. MOUNTAINS FOR SKIING AND HIKING. BUT IF I HAVE TO CHOOSE A FABULOUS EXCURSION, IT WOULD BE TO TAKE A CRUISE FROM SEATTLE THROUGH THE INLAND PASSAGE PAST VICTORY ISLAND TO ALASKA. -----DELICIOUS FOOD, OUTSTANDING SCENES AND GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!
THAT IS SUCH A GREAT QUESTION, VEE, THAT I WOULD LIKE TO REPEAT IT, WHERE WOULD YOU TAKE OUT-OF-TOWN GUESTS FOR A FABULOUS TIME?

Hey Cheryl, first let me say thanks for the invite (from a few posts ago).... I'd love to take you up on it. And now I think you're in the Seattle area? I could do that!!
And yes, Vee, great question! And Cheryl & Vee are both on my friend list when I hit the lottery. You betcha!!
So, to answer the question, I am blessed to be about 2 hours from Yosemite National Park. Truly one of the greatest natural wonders ever. If you come to see me, you're going there!!
How many people will be at the Thanksgiving table where you are celebrating? Any special foods or traditions other than the norm?

Thanks! Sounds like great fun. (I am going to be wishing for you to win now ellie)! *smiles
I expect about 7 people, but sometimes an extra shows up, lol. I enjoy a splurge like Bread Pudding with sweet whiskey sauce. ...(someone spikes the eggnog every year) lol
What is the strangest thing you believed as a child?

Hi ladies. great answers.
When I was young and saw some old black & white shows, I asked my Mom when did the world change to color? lol
What's something you regret not learning to do?

lol I remember watching old TV shows in black & white as a kid- also that cool part in Wizard of Oz - the famous scene in which Dorothy walks out her front door into Oz and for the first time sees the world in Technicolor.
I regret not learning more languages when I was younger. It would really help me now.

HI, VEE! I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD GET BACK TO THIS GAME BECAUSE MY BRAIN SEEMS TO BE ASLEEP. BUT I CAN ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. I SLEEP ON MY SIDE, CURLED UP IN A BALL, TRYING TO AVOID MY HUSBAND'S WRATH. HE IS AN ARM AND LEG FLINGER AT NIGHT----ALSO A SLEEP WALKER AND TALKER, WHICH HAS PROVIDED US WITH LOTS OF LAUGHS OVER THE YEARS. GOOD THING HE IS SO DARN CUTE!
WITH THE NEW YEAR ALMOST HERE, WHAT IS A CHANGE THAT YOU WOULD WELCOME IN YOUR LIFE?
